FALL 2021
Message from Andy Stultz: COVID COVID COVID.....I am sorry. If you are like me, then you have heard that too many times and you are tired of it. Fortunately, the light is almost here. Maybe things will get back to normal by the next school year. There have been triumphs and disappointments for many of you and especially me. Personally and professionally, I have experienced the gambit of ups and downs since last year. Part of this message is to put us back on the right track. Everyone seems to be waiting or holding out for next year. NOW is the time to be thinking and planning for next year.
Let us assume normal....I am really excited about the opportunity to serve as TMTA President starting this Fall. As the President-elect, I have been keenly watching upcoming directives from the state, as well as some items specifically addressed at the Winter Board Meeting of TMTA.
As CAMTA President, I have always wanted to support local teachers. Professional development and a cohort of colleagues who can be called upon for help or care is vital for teachers. CAMTA provides a wonderful opportunity for connection.
For many of us, pressure is enormous and time is short....How can we teach effectively, manage students, and grow professionally?
CAMTA can help! Teaching and learning of mathematics is constantly changing. The needs of students are varied and complex. CAMTA can help! Teachers want new technology, new manipulatives, and new strategies. CAMTA can help!
As this has been a difficult year, CAMTA is ready for new leadership. I am stepping down from the position of President. We have several members who have served as officers. I expect someone from that group will become the next President.
